Spiritual Abuse

Spiritual abuse happens when someone uses faith, beliefs, or spiritual authority to control, manipulate, or harm others. It can look like leaders demanding unquestioning loyalty, using guilt or fear to keep people compliant, or twisting teachings to justify harmful behavior. Many who’ve experienced spiritual abuse are left feeling confused, unworthy, or fearful of spiritual spaces altogether.

Recovering from spiritual abuse often involves learning to identify where power was misused and how it impacted your sense of self. It can mean grieving lost communities, redefining your beliefs, and untangling fear-based conditioning. At its heart, healing from spiritual abuse is about reclaiming your right to think, feel, and believe freely without shame or coercion.

In coaching, I offer a space where you can unpack these experiences safely and begin building trust with yourself again. Spiritual abuse doesn’t have to define your relationship with faith, spirituality, or yourself. Healing is possible, and your intuition and dignity deserve to be honored.
